King of Kings

Lord Jesus had no earthly home,
But everywhere that He would roam,
The people fed and asked Him in
And He forgave them all their sin.
He had no means to travel where
There were so many waiting there
To hear the word of God, so He,
Found ways to get where He must be.

Sometimes a fisherman set sail
And He would calm the rising gale,
So they could reach a farther shore.
Sometimes a sturdy donkey bore
The weight of this Beloved Man.
All part of God's Almighty plan.
But mostly He was forced to walk
And as He went, He used to talk
In parables,to illustrate
That in each life there is a gate
That leads us to eternity,
Where all is peace and harmony.
He did not care for worldy things.
He was our Lord and King of Kings!

Trillium,

You've certainly got the rhyme and meter rolling here.  I like it.  Too bad Jesus had no private jet, He sure could have spread the news in no time... but, then again he would not have needed us like he does today to tell the world.  Amen.  Again, a very nice poem that brought a grin to my face just thinking about how Jesus blessed so many people that he came in contacr with back when walking was the normal way of travel.  -Bob

I like the rhythm, too. There are several great points you mentioned. Wonderful poetic praise.
