Pik-a-Nik-in

Folks are a gettin’ happy now
down at the house of God!
Smiles bustin’ out all over
like fleas onna hound dawg.

Down at the four corners
sippin’  lemonade in the shade.
Youngen’s all chasin’ and a funin
good, Gospel music being played.

Jus’ a singin’ and a dancin’
folks a gettin’ set free.
Pile o’ bow ties on the table
big, ole tire swing inna tree.

Volleyball goin’ a thunka, thunka
over yonder, Grandpa’s up to bat.
Blanket stretched ‘neath the tree
sweethearts takin’ noon-time nap.

Whole heapa vittles,  a waitin’
seconds n thirds mostly allowed.
Shore is a special somethin’
pik-a-nik-in with God’s crowd.

yeah Sis,
we shore had some good "dunkin" parties
down at the lake, eh?
You remember that one rich lady that
came to see what all the hootin an
hollarin was...and ended up getting
baptized?
A bit of explanation, perhaps?
We used to pastor a lil ole red and white
(of course) "A" frame fellowship and had
our regular Sunday mornin meetins down
at Canton Damn...we would haul all the
equipment and junk down there and disturb
all those nice campers...some of em even
got set free and saved!
Did ya see the cool smilie Kit (bless you!)
made me?
love ya
Daniel
