Trust Him!

The chariots were gleaming gold
And very swift.Their drivers, bold.
The horses brought to pull them on,
Were brushed until their coats all shone.
Then as they thundered down the plain,
The arrows fell like lethal rain.
They were magnificent and strong,
But yet, the battle had gone wrong.
A thousand chariots could not
Claim the victory they sought.

Their leader looked to God and cried
That He would save them.He replied
By turning back the hordes that came
And watched them flee before His name.
This scene repeated o'er and o'er
In Bible tales from days of yore,
Are still significant today.
Our enemies will melt away
If we remember there is One
Whose every battle has been won!

Hi Betty!

This is beautiful!

"Our enemies will melt away
If we remember there is One
Whose every battle has been won!"

Truer words were never spoken!

"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple." Psalms 19:7 KJV

Thank you for the inspiration!

Betty,
This is a fantastic illustration of Faith is the Victory that overcomes the world, and "Thanks be to God who giveth us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Truly He is the Ultimate Victor and has given us to so often fail- to share in His Ultimate victory!
  Great Poem!

Trillium,

What a victorious poem.  If He did it then, He certrainly can do it all again because our GOD's ways never change ... I am thinking about, especially, vicory over the enemy of our soul.  Again, a wonderful poem to encourage victory today in GOD.
