Shelter of Love

Tuck me beneath your wings
Hide me in the cleft of the Rock
My Comforter and Redeemer
I need the shelter of your love

When heartache lays siege upon my heart
You are the fortress that welcomes me in
When nothing seems stable and chaos reigns
I find peace in your arms, Oh Lord

You are the God who does not change
The Eternal One who established the earth
A safe haven where I take refuge
You gather me under your wings

Rock of ages, cover me!
Spread your branches, Sheltering Tree,
to protect me from the storms of life,
like an umbrella keeping me dry.

Praise the God of all comfort
Praise Jesus Christ, His only son
for tender mercies seen each day
Praise the shelter of His love!

Ah, Cheryl; I am so full of His Love as I read this beautiful poem...for this is how I pray also, just loosing myself in His Love, where I am safe too! Thank you so much...Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
