Here outside of Eden
I'm lost and prone to roam.
The earth is beautiful it's true,
But it is not my home.
For I remember Eden,
So glorious it seems,
Its beauty comes to haunt me
And tease me in my dreams.

God created Eden
And offered man the best
Of all its fruits and glories,
If he could pass the test.
By yielding to temptation
Man committed the first sin.
Now here outside of Eden,
He yearns to get back in.

How very true. I know that I would love to run around naked tasting all of those juicy fruits, dining on the fruit of life, avoiding the fruit of knowledge of good and evil.

But, hey, isn't that what I'm doing. Doesn't God through His Son, Christ give us back what Satan helped Adam and Eve to take away, eternal life, the Fruit of the Tree of Life? And doesnt' Christ tell us not to judge, for doing so we eat of the Fruit of The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? And isn't living in truth, walking naked? Just a few thoughts. Are we not NOW, again able to walk in Eden? Spiritually? In True Salvation?

Thanks for your beautiful poem.

Very fine, Joyce! Succinct and well done!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

This is wonderful...I often think that Eden was patterned after Heaven and that we will one day be able to re-enter.  I also praise God for giving us, the sinners descended from Adam and Eve, such beautiful surroundings, that are here for our taking if only we can appreciate His wonderful gift.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, this is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I too always see ourselves as one day re-entering Eden, and hear we are all hedonists within, enjoying the beauty and love of life and following our dreams, which is like walking in Eden! (kiss on cheek) Soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much, this is fabulous! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
