But a Word (Sonnet)

How strange is it that we can fly so fast
Between uncharted worlds of time and space.
And if by chance should we arrive at last,
There might well be a moment in God's grace;
A moment oh so rare were dreams abound ...
A moment's pause where time does not exist ...
Before expanse where none else there be found
But God who needed no one to assist.
For by His power spoke He but a word;
A word so powerful that all should be ...
A message oh so strong if we but heard
Would it change the lives of both you and me.
Whence have we fallen deep in compromise,
Yet speaks God to the darkness, "Light arise."

Dear Bob; This is nothing short of Exquisite!! Took my breath away! God Bless you and thank you for this gift of poetry that you use so well to Honor our Lord Jesus Christ! Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Bob, what a lovely work of verbal art. Your words always paint pictures. Loved this one. Cheryl
