I wrote this for a couple I know who are planning to marry in 2002.

The Celtic Cross

This Celtic Cross I give to thee,
A symbol of eternity.
The pillar ties the earth to sky,
Where all our hopes of Heaven lie.

In Edinburgh, across the sea,
An artist made this cross for me,
To give to you, for still today,
The ancient beliefs are strong and stay
A part of Christianity.
A guiding light for you and me.

It is a token of esteem
And brings you blessings that I deem
Will be a force within your soul,
From HE whose Presence we extol!

Floria:  Thanks for your comments.  The cross is carved on both sides and is really a work of art.
