Morning's light was never brighter
It's beams penetrated through window shades
Lightening up our room

"Time To Arise" a deep voice thunders

Shut off the light!
Let me sleep...

The light is off
It is the sun that floods the room

The hour is too early for such brilliance
The sun has never shined like this before

I cannot stay in bed
The light beckons me to arise to meet the day

I try to look out through my windows
Toward the sun
I cannot gaze upon it

It's blinding beams
Force me to look away

Then I am reminded of the Glory of God
In His Holiness, I cannot look  upon Him either

Why does the sun shine so brilliantly?
Why does its rays shine so crsytle clear?

Could it be yesterday's rain?
Yesterday's storm?
Yesterday's atmospheric washing?

Wonderful connections between the suns blinding brightness and God's holiness.  Well done.  Thanks.

Wow!  What a great story/poem. The rain does clear the air and makes the sunshine so much brighter after the storm.  After reading your poem, I feel a bit refreshed. Thank you.  -Bob
