Jounery With You by Vivian So (lizzy vivian)

I was walking for the sake of thirst.
I saw miles and miles away from my search.
I felt all my body has become wooden blocks;
There was no string attached-
I was falling...apart.
Then there was lighting flash.
I was so scared...that I stumbled.
Then here he was standing beside me,
Told me not to be afraid
For he was here...with me.
Now I was not afraid of mountain peaks
For I had him comfort me.
There was a time when I could walk no more.
No rush was his word.
We sat down on a bench,
Pointed to the scenery,
Chatted a little-
Time passed quickly by.
Then we set on our trip again.
This time rain poured down and he
Opened up an umberlla for me.
We watched the drops hitting the ground,
Heard them sounding out the song of the season
As the flowers danced with the wind
While the crops showered their skins.
Once I was afraid to walk in the dark,
Now I was delighted with the view of things I saw;
Once I thought only of my search,
Now I thought of whether the sky was blue.
When I entered a split path, I was confused
But the smile of his face reassured me.
Now we walked on and I was not thirst...anymore.

//I wrote this right after the sermon I listened today

Vivian, sometimes that's the best time to write a poem! Thank you.
