Isn’t it strange,
That I don’t fear dying?
I only fear not being.
Not knowing.

The thought of death
Holds no horror for me.
But the thought of nothing,
Scares me senseless.

Is there nothing
When you die?
Or is there something
More? Beyond…

It is the emptiness
That I fear.
Being alone.
God, don’t lets this be so!

Be with me.
Let others be too.
Move on I must,
But let me be.

Good display of fear that many have.
It's very biblical that you shall recognize
those you knew here on earth.

It's not a nothingness, but more beauty than we could ever comprehend, more peace than we'll ever know here.

I wrote a poem on the very subject many years ago. If you care to read it, here it is...

A New Beginning

<*\\\><
Life may have influenced who we R, but we're responsible for what we become.
I don't question YOUR existance- GOD

I've read, "It's far easier to die as a martyr than live as one."  Also, reminds me bodily death is not so feared as the unknown hereafter.  Heaven, I believe will offer so much for us to learn, so many to help us and endless time to praise God for all His unconditional love.  Enjoyed your thought provoking write.  Thanks.

Lisa; The scriptures give us comfort when they tell us, "We shall see Jesus and all the believers whether Old Test. or New Test. or Church age will be there."  I actually look forward to seeing loved ones who have gone on before me.  May the words of Hebrews 13:5 comfort you when it says, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."  For a believer that is true for eternity.  May God bless you and give you His peace.  Wanda
