Hopeful Faith

In God's Holy Book
it is written from the beginning
the price those have paid
for the wages of sinning.

Many wars have been fought
over religion and worldly powers
not much different
than the taking of our Nations two towers.

An attack on our freedom
war; not fate
destroying innocent lives
by the act of hate.

No one is immune
to the destruction of wars
innocent lives are taken
till the mighty eagle soars.

We shall all be judged
on judgement day
for the sins we have commited in hate..
we shall pay.

Only God knows
what is in our heart
many shall pay the price
many shall find a new start.

In quiet prayer
we ask for strength and peace
to quide us through each day
hopeful faith..
shall never cease.
