Faith is a mustard seed
lying on the earth
awaiting the rainbow’s dance
of sun and watered birth.

A spark of light, a drip of gold
above Sargasso Sea
illuminates and quenches grand
the halting yellow seed.

Then warmth of land and nutrient
feed and cloister well
the little life that lies in wait
so captured in its spell.

As spreading leaves and blossoms reach
toward Creator’s realm
Cruciferae does form its cross
to show Who’s at the helm.
