Wars and rumors shall you hear
But MY children have no fear
The end not yet but is near

In light of the Sept tragedy, all I can say is I'm heartbroken, just like the rest of America.  It's a time where words can comfort, but can't explain
the horror or the feelings each of us goes through. Tears spill on a daily basis as we watch things unfold, hear of the people who are there first hand. Hear from those, who thank God, survived.

My heart goes out to those children who have lost parents. Parents, who have lost their children, wives who've lost their husbands, and husbands, who've lost their wives. Friends who have lost friends.

I have no poetry in me lately, and if I do, I just can't find it. I long to write beautiful verse, something meaningful to convey the feelings I have in all this tragedy, but those words I cannot find.

From the very moment I saw it unfold, I saw the plane crash into the 2nd tower, I saw God at work in people around me. As they all gathered into our waiting room to see what was happening. It was packed, as strangers stood side by side, piling in to see what was happening, as all stood in total shock.

God is at work, you can see him in the faces of all that mourn, in all those who are volunteering to help. In all the doctors who ran to help, in all the hearts of those who ran to give blood, in all those who've donated in one way or another to help the victims families. All the Good being done now, is by no one else but God, who has helped to bring a divided Nation together.

It's sad that it takes a tragedy as this, to make us all stop and realize what we have. To make us band together as a Nation. But a beautiful thing has happened in the face of all this tragedy. It's hard in our day to day lives not to take things for granted, but this has shaken everyone down to the core. It has awaken America.

Through my tears still and broken heart, I wish all safety, I pray we realize just what we have, especially after seeing those poor women in Afghanistan and how they're treated. Life isn't so bad for us after all is it?
Hug your children, love life, and don't wait until tomorrow to tell someone how you feel.

God bless America, and not just America, but all those around the world who are suffering right now, including those in Afghanistan.

Rebecca

Becky, your heart and faith shows in your writing. If you can't find poetry, maybe you can find prose..try that for a time. This is beautifully written my friend.

Becky:  These beautiful words are uniquely your own, but they are speaking for millions of people who feel just as you do. Thanks for posting your feelings.

Together we will make it through the days ahead..remembering God has everything under control. The righteous will not be forsaken. Personally I would like to just skip Halloween and have Thanksgiving all the way up to Christmas this year. Even in this chaos there is much to be thankful for.

I just want to thank you all for taking the time to read and respond.
I don't seem to have much to say these days.

I'm here but just behind the scenes mostly.

God bless!

Just wanting to remember a day in history, and also a lady that had the biggest heart.  She wrote about this with sincerity for all of us.
