We Gathered At The Courthouse Today

We gathered at the courthouse today
Across religious lines we stopped to pray ...
"Of winds of terror we're not afraid
And lead our country in a Christian way."

We prayed for the leaders of our land
To help them each make the right commands ...
The funny thing was not a word was said
But the Word from God that Pastors read.

We gathered at the courthouse today
Across religious lines I heard God say ...
"Of winds of terror don't be afraid
For Christian your vengeance has been paid."

We prayed for the innocent destroyed
Knowing God will fill the empty voids ...
The funny thing was we knew they heard
For the promises that came through God's Word.

We understood that prayer is two way ...
When we heard the words that God had to say
When we gathered at the courthouse today.

This describes a scene played out all over the country today and I understand also in foreign countries sympathetic to the travail we are going through. Well done Bob.
