"Nothing good ever came from Nazareth"
But Nathaniel soon changed his mind,
When he met Jesus, "The Lamb of God",
The best Friend he'd ever find.
Jesus recognized him on sight,
Though they'd never met before.
"I saw you under the fig tree."
Jesus needed to say no more.
Nathaniel cried,"King of Israel.
You are God's own well loved Son."
He was Jesus' new disciple
Before the day was done.
Jesus told him and the others
To gather the people around.
To come, see and experience
The new life to be found.
The disciples listened to Jesus
And went out to spread the word.
And all of the people marveled at
The wondrous news they heard.

We are the new disciples, for
There are many yet to be told
The wonderful news of Jesus
And to be brought into the fold.

I love this Bible story.  Yes, Jesus does know all about each one of us... it is Jesus who we can always get to know better.  A nice poem.  -Bob
