it hurts too much
knowing that I am dying
thinking of all I will never do
of the husband I will never know
of the children I will never have
I ache with the need to understand
why life must end too soon
did I do what You wanted?
did I serve You well?
So many unanwsered questions
weighing on my soul
but then I see an image of You
on a hill
surrounded by hate
suffering through torture
knowing that You did this all for me
out of love for me
my Father
You give me the strength to die.

Dear Alstaria22,  I really don't know how to answer this.  I hope you are writing of something that is not actual.  If not, my love and my prayers are with you.  We should all be ready for death at all times as we never know when he is going to call us.  Joyce

This is such a heart-wrenching prayer.  I hope it is your imagination working and not something that is happening to you. If it is factual, may God Bless you and help you face whatever you must.

Such anguish. I love the ending to this.
What a vision to paint. How much he suffered for us out of love.

To pass on is not a very comfortable thought, but think of the wonderful things we get when we do. No more sickness, and pure love.

If this is true, I'm sorry to know you're going through such things. And I don't want to step on your toes, nor hurt your feelings, but I hope it's not a self inflicted death.

Your poem has reached deep within.
~God bless~
