Who would be teacher? Who would fashion, of will, by refinement or arrangement, of leading as a guide? Only the prepared, only the learned, only those well-read? OR THE Walking, talking, dancing, lauding laughing, crying whining, smiling people in your world. Are they your true teachers? Whom do you follow in the end? © August 18, 2001 ************************************************ There He Was, Where Am I? Seated upon the mountain blessings from His lips poured down in trickles gathered into pools collected into gifts to be accepted and enjoyed. Blessed are the meek, those who mourn, the humble, those who seek God’s will, and the peacemakers-for they shall be called the sons of God Where are the meek, I can see those who mourn, who are the humble, is there one in my mirror? © July 8, 2001 Step Aside Cold war, cold war put away one day, While sparks and flames ignite little fires on the plains. Words stoke the bombast that dots the world around. Arms wave in anger as cinders await the breeze. Flashing to conflagration consuming thoughts of peace. Yet, step aside and lift your eyes and seek the peace He gives. Virginia, As a minister, myself, I appreciate the great attentiveness which you give to the messages brought by your Spiritual Counsellor in his Sunday sermons. It shows you really listened and had to think them through to pass them along in a poetic form which seeks to crystalize the message and to further spread the WORD. I do the same with my sermons, only I have the advantage of also having preached & shared them with the congregation as well. I applaud your using your talents in this way, and your desire to make known the worthy teachings of others, sharing the Word.
