He Anchors Me

~*Marge Tindal*~

When upon life's waves I am tossed
and all about me seems so lost
When drowning in the murky sea
To the cross of His promise
He reaches out and anchors me

In the storming I am steadied
Readied for the tempest blown
Knowing He has anchored me
for all the storms to come

Lord, sometimes I swim in sin
far from the peace of the shore
Anchor me in the faith of you
so I will sink no more

And He lifts me steady
makes me ready
for each and every passing storm
I cling to the anchor of His cross
upon which my sins are borne

Marge:  A beautiful composition, where poem, music and painting are so compatible.

Certainly my faith anchors me although I can not go for the cross and nails version. The poem; however was spectacular. Shalom

"Love Lifted Me" has always been one of my favorite hymns. Here, it provides the perfect accompaniment to your beautiful poem - this touched my heart deeply.

Hi Marge,

Thank you so much for I need to be reminded that He is there and an anchor for those that need one, I get raped up in life and try to do it on my own and of course it does not work out most of the time but when I have asked for help I have been granted it, once again thank you for sharing this beauty and your loving heart as well.

Love, Cerenity

Dear Marge,

I'm not a religious person, but I can recognize a good poem when I see one. But then...when I see your name I know there's always a beautiful poem behind it.

Thank you for sharing.

Yes, HE is there but some of us, myself, don't deserve it. It is then that you don't know whether you should reach out or sink.
This is beautiful, thank you for sharing it.
