Watching the sun's powerful ray's
Part the threatening grey clouds,
Like spokes on a bike wheel
Part the winds of my path,
I thought about how life's journey
Seems to split into pathways
Of past, present, and future.
And I wondered if our society's present path,
Being guided by the past roads we chose,
Will lead us to a brighter future,
A future where
Peace, Love, and Harmony prevail,
Where we will have evolved to a higher plane
Where we no longer find it necessary
To hurt one another.
And I watch for the sun's rays
To break through to our hearts,
To guide us along this new path,
Parting the winds of Hate
With spokes of Love.

This is very nice.  And one does wonder about the right path.  Joyce

Joyce and Trillium, thank you. I wrote most of this in my mind on the way home from work. It's amazing what a ray of sunshine blazing through a cloud can do to the heart and mind.

Sounds like you've written a piece of my heart here. Peace and harmony. I never understood why people just couldn't get along.

Thanks for sharing this, and welcome to Spiritual!

Thanks for reading, and I'm glad you liked the imagery. Somedays the skies just open up and shower me with a really good line or two....this was such a day.

MidniteSun~
The simile of the sun rays 'like spokes on a wheel'
certainly touched me with lovely imagery.
This is quite an enjoyable read, my friend~
