GLIMPSES
--

I dreamed I walked a winding path,
that led away from here.
I could not see to place my foot,
and yet I felt no fear.

I could not see, but felt the mountain,
rise beneath my tread.
Many times I fell, confused,
but rose to forge ahead.

Within my dream, I felt compelled,
to journey up and on,
and did not doubt that at the end,
the darkness would be gone.

I walked until I could not walk,
and saw the light at last,
and bright within its welcome glow,
were pictures form the past.

Faces I had known and loved,
remained unchanged by years,
and in this place, I saw no trace,
of pain, or guilt, or tears.

There were some I did not know,
I could not clearly see,
but by-and-by, I know each face,
will be revealed to me.

I dreamed I walked a winding path,
that led me far away,
and if I travel there again,
I shall be pleased to stay.

I like this very much.  It is so like the very dream I had last night and was mulling over in my mind to write about in my next poem.  Joyce

Constance~
This is the loveliest of pieces.
The flow smoothly rolls off the tongue~
A nice read aloud piece.
Wonderfully well done.

I'm glad you decided it was time to share your work. It's beautifully written!

What a vision you bring forth of peace and Heaven.

Joyce-so glad you liked it. I'm sure your dream will come to us through your words and be wonderful to read. I'll be watching for it.

Trillium- Thanks, I'll be here from time to time.

Marge-as always, you say the nicest things. This was one of those that wrote itself.

WhtDove-Thanks for the welcome. I feel so blessed to have found this site.
