Your poem is also "striking"!  Impressive!

like this a lot, it reminds me of an e-mail story going around...a little girl is seen by her mother walking home in a thunder storm

the mother has gone to give her a ride and as she approaches, she sees her daughter stop, look up and smile each time lightning flashes

her mother asks her what she was doing when she is in the car...'smiling each time God took my picture,' was her reply

Wow Bob, I'm blown away with this one-my favorite of yours so far. Perfect choice of word and presentation, plus a real kicker ending. loved it!

I admire your ability as a poet and your sensitivities and insights as a God fearing man.  I believe you have presented this very incredible work-NOT just to get our visual attention and ahs.  The Scriptures that come to mind as I read this are:Matthew 24:27
"For as the LIGHTNING cometheth out of the east and shineth unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." and
II Corinthians 15:51-52, "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed-in a moment, IN THE TWINKING OF AN EYE, at the at the last trumpet..." The latter part also reminds me of the Hymn FACE TO FACE- Face to face, with
Christ, my Savior, face to face, to see and know, when with rapture I behold Him, Jesus Christ who loves me so."
I'm sorry for the long reply, but consider it a high compliment, due to your compelling  work.

Very creative. I like the visual effect. It reads very well also.
