Two Brothers-One Father

small faced, tight grinned
hE laughed at Pilate's fate
Eternally washing hands in Hellish flames
familiar in slow motion eye catches
A voice in the night
A touch in the healing day
Exchanging soul glances
bittersweet and revealing
One brother enchanted by the Light
the otheR filled without a sinner's shame
Seamless symmetry, syncopated heartbeats
but they couldn't be more different

he laid the Gold tome before the unchastE onE
Its been 20 years since hE last saw hiS own face
Unrecognizable to hiS old friends
Dark thin brows perched over stabbing eyes
yet
something implored hiM to open the Gift of Love
living a life in a day, a decision from the disciples
and it was done
the first step toward healing the burns from Hell
the salve from the pages of Gold
bringing enraptured relief from grief

hE laid his soul bare, before Him
ravished by raven pecks
hiS brother taking the hand offered
and placing it
gently
in the Hands of God

This is well written.... though I do not know of exactly who your poem is written about, but you did get my curiosity going about the two brothers... what I got out of your poem was the exchange of words and emotions between Pontius Pilate and Jesus when Pilate washes his hands of Jesus' blood before declaring the Saviors judgement of death by the cross... but this probably has nothing to do with your poem.  It was a good poem, even though I didn't quite understand what I was reading.  -Bob

beyond beautiful...These words brought tears,...

Our world is full of anger,
many experiencing emotions
they don't understand,
I believe we are standing on
the thresehold....God is
holding out his hand,
Eventually, I believe,
all will come to know
the Glory of God, every knee
shall bend....and there will a
peace that passes understanding~!

Thank you SR,
ATOV
