Finishing the Course

In quiet places where the din
Of worldly pressures can't break in,
I feel that I can almost see
A glimpse into eternity.
In every song the breezes sing,
There is a peacefulness they bring,
That lulls me into thinking I
Could lift my arms and gently fly
Into the higher atmosphere,
Where angel voices I could hear
And there perhaps, I'd find the door.
I'd hover outside and implore
That He would let me in but yet,
It's not my time.  I must forget
Any thought that I can alter,
Or allow my steps to falter,
Upon the course He's set for me,
Anticipating what's to be!

This is outstanding!

Your flow, the message, it does just jump up at you.

"Any thought that I can alter."
That line really stuck out to me. It takes a lot of discpline, a lot of thought, to change our thinking. Not to mention a lot of help from God to "alter" our thinking.

Beautifully written Betty!
