Written during a Sunday message last year:

Oh Sower
Virginia Salter

Oh, Sower,
sow your seed
intent upon good fruit
and I’ll prepare the soil.
Seek the fertile,
seek the tilled,
seek to reconcile the stony heart.

Sow in love,
sow in faith,
sow with hope of harvest.
Let Me provide the growth
through the tests
that life can bring.

Let not the cares of the world,
delight in riches,
desire for other things,
be thorns that keep you from your planting,
from your hoping,
from your living in faith revealed.

Instead,
move forward,
as living water,
upon the soil
finding its way through,
around, the rocky crags,
jagged stones,
mire of bogs,
and waned desire.

Well now, you are bringing back the oldies but the goodies.... and I do enjoy so much the "Parable of the Sewer" as well as the perspective from which your poem was written.....  kind of like hearing a prophesy from the Lord.  Superb, you took a wonderful parable and added some remarkable poetic highlights to enhance it's fluency in my opinion.  God bless you,  Bob <><

Sanctuary much, everyone, your comments have illuminated this piece even more for me.  When He inspires me, I learn so much through what He allows to flow from my hands and your replies have deepened the lesson and the blessing.

I'm so very happy you all like it.
