no place owns me

I woke up early morning,
Not even day,
When the sun spoke up,
And shined into me.
It blurred my vision,
As heaven was in my view,
And there He lay,
The forgotten truth.

As He handed me the words,
Hidden between lines,
I felt the questions being answered,
Forgiven that time.
As I fell down into bed,
Where life was once ill,
I awoke again,
This time tranquil.

scout,

Way to go.... Yes, receiving a Word from God, regardless of time, has a wonderful healing quality.  Good personal challenge here to overcome my flesh in the AM hours.

Forgiveness is more than just a clearing of our "records".  Your poem seemed to suggest that it also involves an impartation of something from God.

Enjoyed this.

Stephen.

thanx the_rescue

Joyce, when i was in 10th grade, i decided i would pursue my career in creative writing (when i was a child it was all i wanted to be although, english has always been my worst subject) so i applied to the Walnut Hill school in Natick, Mass. to go to boarding school there, and I sent a lot of my best works, and I thought I had extra copies, but I lost them, and i never got accepted and i never got my poems back, and then i went on my year and a half drought  from 98-99, and it wasn't until my senior year of highschool i started to fast every lunch, because I didn't want to waste money on boring school lunches (considering i was a vegetarian and i had nothing to eat) that I would write poetry and that's when I gained it back, although i lost a lot, i hope to write a lot more...

scout:  It sounds as if you have really suffered for your poetry, but I'm glad to read that you are still writing and I'm sure you have a great deal to say!  Will look forward to seeing more of it.

My WebSite? haha, i haven't worked with that thing in forever... I never have time, maybe one day i'll get around to it, and link it to all these poems... thanks for your comments...

Trill: sometimes i don't think my poetry is my own, sometimes i believe it's gift, though oust people i share stuff with, the idea flies over their head.  I don't consider poetry suffering, as long as i can write, i'm happy, God has given me a way to tell my feelings indirectly (and also His)  I consider poetry more of a medication then suffering.

Scout, I must agree with you...your poetry IS a gift, and to keep it secret is to keep God's love a secret...

that's why He shared his Son...

that's why you share your words...

thank you.

This was a wonderful write, scout.  Sorry to read that a portion of your poetry was lost.  That is a tragedy, but hopefully your muse will stick around and inspire more.  Enjoyed this.

by the grace of God.
