It's rained, and rained, and rained some more
The Angels cry outside my door
For Mother's gone and passed away
Sorrow abides here every day
The halycon days of youth are done
And now I find there's no more fun
No one to talk to, no one to ask
Of foolish things done in the past
Or share the dreams of future days
Now all of this is gone away
No one to just run off to town
to buy some bauble or just to drown
Our sorrow's in a cup of joe
And now my life's so full of woe
For it's rained and rained here every day
Since Mother's gone and passed away
The Angel's cry outside my door
I just may join them, for what's one more

Lisa:  I'm sorry you are going through such a sad experience.  It's worse when it's raining!  Seems like the world is crying too.

Lisa this is a lovely, sad poem.  My mother has been gone for 25 years and I miss her still every day.  There are so many things that she and I could talk aboout and there is no one who fills her place. Joyce

God has given you angels that will listen and console.  I'm sorry about your mother, it's hard when you have no one to talk to, but just remember God's crying with you. You also wrote a good poem.

Lisa,

What a loving and precious tribute to your mother... I'm blessed that you have such fond memories...  sometimes I imagine what it would have been like to have been with mine, but she died when I was two years old.  I do believe that she is a part of me even though.  I do hope that the rain will stop and the clouds will clear soon so you can enjoy some sun-shiny days as well.   Bob <><

I too feel your pain. my mother has been gone ten years, and i still want to have her here to talk with. May God send some human Angels into your life to be a comfort and joy to you. This is a beautifully written poem. Love, Ellie

Lisa,

Very sad and touching write.  It's never easy to let them go.  There are many times in my life I wish my mom were here to talk to, but that just isn't possible.  Luckily, God has sent me one of those Angels Ellie mentioned.  She is very special to me although no one can ever take my mom's place.  Great write here.

Welcome to Passions.
