I willingly lay down my life
Amidst the turmoil and strife
Turning it over to the Lord
In exchange for an everlasting reward

For He said ye that seek shall find
His words echo through my mind
As I kneel before Him in prayer
Offering my heart for repair

He takes it lovingly in His hands
As in the distance His angelic bands
Play a melody to comfort me
Their very harmony sets me free

I lose myself before His sight
Giving Him my soul in delight
For He will keep it from harm
Protecting me from evil’s charm

All that is required is my trust
Exercising my faith is a must
His sacrifice upon the cross
Was a great gain not a loss

He paid the ransom for my sins
Allowing me to be born again
All thanks, glory, and praise
To Him my lips shall raise

In thanks to the Holy One
Who sent for me His only Son
So He may die upon a tree
Giving all to save you and me

Remember the price that He paid
When your trust starts to fade
Believe in Him to be there
With love and compassion beyond compare

This was a touch on a lot of verses strung together. A bit o' the Psalms which I just happened to be in today.

You've said it all in this one! Great writing, very uplifting, and so very true!
