My heart goes out to his family and all those whose lives were touched by the horrible choice this man made. The situation all the way around is one of sadness, his death will not bring the victims back. It was good that you could write about it. It is hard for me to even think about how many lives were effected and how it forever changed people. |

Joyce~ Your message is a tenderly written point of view. I have accepted God's message of love. My prayers reach out to those who were wronged by this man. In my heart I know that 'blame' for his choice to take innocent lives doesn't belong to me. I feel for his family also. With your tender heart, you point to a failing within our society. We truly need prison reform. There is currenly a minimal amount of rehabilitative services within prison walls, and I doubt that crime is truly prevented by capital punishment. "I am not now that which I have been." |

I consider the T.M. ordeal & disposition a lose/lose situation- my heart goes out to those innocent losers, caught up his deluded sense of retribution toward our far less than perfect government and it's obviously faulty actions taken toward others targets. All in all, I would say it is a sad day for America--How far and in how many ways have we fallen short as a nation? Thank you for your thoughtful treatment of the subject. His situation sure leaves one confused in what to think. I certainly wouldn't want to be Him when I came to meet my maker though. Nor the one who stood in front of all those whos lives he took. Compassionate poem you've written here, you've done it wonderfully! |

I just joined a couple days ago, so i only read this recently... I was talking about this in my Life & Teachings of Jesus Christ class. McVeigh was only a vessel, just like Judas, he let Satan enter, The battle is not with man, but with Satan. We are all sinners, all have fallen short of the Glory of God, we cannot deny others of time, because all of us deserve to face the wrath of God, I just pray for his family (to know it was not their fault, but all of ours), and the family of the ones whose lives were lost in the tragedy (to not seek his death as a sort of revenge). God's Son is for everyone. His blood can wash away any sin, yet the human mind has yet to grasp the strength of Jesus' forgiveness. If a person cannot forgive, then they ultimately are stating they are higher then God. I really liked this poem, it's an attitude all of us should learn to take. xscoutx |

Joyce, beautifully written. I could tell this was heartfelt and genuine. Profound thoughts can pour through few words when things are right poetically and spiritually can't they? Anyway... this line was haunting to me... "and I tremble for him, Though I know how loving you are." Along with the last one... Stephen. |
