Umbilically His
~*Marge Tindal*~

Naught could sever His hold of me
He is the very air I breathe
The blood that courses through my vein
Connects me to Him just the same

As life before when in womb lay
Ere I saw sweet birthing of day
Cord of binding serves to remind
Umbilically His through all time

Far beyond the passage of time
Spirits of melding, so entwined
Writ in bond of blood reminding
Mother of sweet earth unbinding

Umbilically forevermore
Stepping in through Heavenly door

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Marge, I was sent to heaven while reading this sweetest of words. You have said all that I feel as well...Ellie

Marge:  I have often thought about a line leading to God, but never in quite this way. It makes sense.  Just a lovely poem and your work is always presented so beautifully!

BettyLou~
I've always felt the bond of connection to Him and this is what I felt described it best to me.

In the earthly measure we are severed from the umbilical cord of our mother, at the moment of birth ... I believe God keeps us connected for all of our life and beyond.

Thank you for your sweet reply.

Thank you for your sweet reply.
Yes ... He connects us to Him if we let Him.
I do.

He doesn't sever the cord that binds us ...
He's always there on a prayer.

Marge-
I decided to take a look back at what
I missed while I was away, and I'm sooooo glad I did.
This is such a lovely penning from your heart.
You express your love for Him so beautifully.
I am always touched by what I find here.

   Love you bunches,
