Lord, I am so troubled that
I can not even speak.
My problems overwhelm me to
The point that I am weak.

I am your sanctuary
On a lone and weary shore.
As I sense your visitation Lord,
Let me hear your roar.

My lighthouse shines it's brightest
When there's clarity and insight.
For your presence is a beacon,
Guiding me through my night.

Give me my daily bread O God.
Nothing shall be refused.
In love, in joy, in spirit...O Lord,
I want to bless and be used.

When you have finished your stirring,
My soul shall be satisfied.
When I consider the depths
Of your waters...I thirst,
And I won't be denied.

O Morning...wrap yourself around me today. Let me experience the peace I see in you.

Welcome to Spiritual Joyce! What a wonderfully humble poem. I loved the line of the "stirring," that was very unique.

I hope we'll get to see more poems from you.

Oh how I enjoyed this!  My favorite poems are ones that are the most kindred to the psalms of the bible, especially ones that are so intimate and speak, complain, wonder, weep, laugh, muse, and give praise to God himself.  I would definitely call this one a psalm.

God bless you,

Stephen.

I'm always so heartwarmed when troubled ones call out to our Lord in full faith, as I so vividly recall many troubled years when I didn't know enough to do so.  This is beautiful.

how I can identify with this poem of the heart cry to our God!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

....and while your at it mix in a little cabonation to help her pop her top with praise!!!  This one is great, 'cause we all need a little shaking (stirring) one in awhile.  Bob <><
