In the stillness of the night
I could hear the whisper'n wind
As it rustled through the leaves
And brushed warmth upon my face

It beckoned me to listen
To the calmness it imposed
To help lay my mind at rest
As I aimlessly wandered

Calls of the night became heard
As the crickets sang their tune
In harmony with the wind
and waves rolling on the shore

The wind encompassed me
The stillness over came me
Bringing quiet to my soul
In the stillness of the night

So peaceful. My stillness is also night time - early morning before daybreak.

This is entirely calming.....almost like a lullaby.

Thank you Betty and Joyce!

Melton thank you. My favorite time is in the early morning when the world is still fairly quiet.

Glad it lulled you some peace Kathleen!

This one is a jewel of symmetry.  I loved the way the first line and the last are the same.

Oh, Becky, this is pure heaven!!!!!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
