You know not that
for which I weep.
Tis Love the tears
I shed for most.

Not here within my grasp,
but far across the sea.

my heart has known
so little of love,
given, but so less
received.

This small child within,
doth weep for joy of love.
Given now so very late,
and not in tender years.

Here now the cherished love,
as from God's gentle heart.

A heavenly fathers Love,
is known to me at last.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Dear Friend,
It's sad that ther love desired and sought was not promptly recieved-- but the great truth of your poem to me, is that Love is such that whether soon or late is well worth our patient waiting for.

Such melancholy. Sad, and yet hopeful!

Ellie this is some splendid writing.

There is a moment in time, this has brought back to me, one I don't think I will ever forget. When all along I knew God loved me, but guess it never really sunk in. Maybe I should say, I knew God loved His children, but didn't count myself as one of them.

One day it hit me deep, His love for me. That moment, it didn't matter who else loved me, or that they didn't do it enough. His love was perfect. God bless you Ellie!
