I Am Known

I hear You in the silence
when the raging storm turns still.
I see You in the beauty
of the laughing daffodil.
I feel You in the sunshine
as she dances on the hills.
The more and more I've known You,
You're the passion of my will.

I taste You in the berries
when their sweetness is full grown.
I smell You in the rose buds
with their blooming fragrance shown.
I sense You all around me
like from nest a sparrow's flown.
The more and more I've known You,
the more I know I'm known.

Know thyself, the bible instructs but it took me sometime before realizing we never really know ourselves until we know God.  Your piece brings that message out well.  Thank you.

Lighthousebob, this is really wonderful, the flow is impeccable and it's the type of poem one could memorize and enjoy having it ever ready in the forefront of their mind.  Really like it!

The last two lines were worded so very uniquely, I just loved it.
Great work once more, Bob!

Great poem. HE is everywhere and it is comforting to know "I'm known".
