Now That I Know Virginia Salter now that I know You now that I’ve touched You now that You’ve touched me yes, now that I’ve stood in the Light how could I stand the darkness the true darkness for now, when I stand at the brink of ebony or in its very earthly depth still Your light reaches my heart even when my mind’s confused even when my body’s weak even when my conviction is failing still a still small voice whispers from deep within me rendering a glimmer lighting my hope confirming the Light remains yet how could I ever now knowing what true Light is turn away and accept the dark the absence of Your light the absence of Your love surely I could not bear it for one moment let alone all of eternity so, Lord, help me remain in You and ever in Your Light. ©April 20, '01 |

It is so true. Once you have been exposed to light one continues to search for that light once again, and again. Darkness surrounds us and sometimes we feel that is all there is. Unless you've had a "light" giving moment. "I am not now that which I have been." |
