If I had but one song to sing,
I'd sing it for the Lord.
I'd praise Him for unfailing love
And for His precious Word.

I'd sing of how He made us all
And gave us our own garden.
And for having disobeyed Him,
I'd humbly beg His pardon.

Everything that is around us,
The sky, the sea, the earth,
All these were fashioned by our God,
Bestowed on us at birth.

If I have just one song to sing,
I'll sing it loud and clear;
To God, for keeping me from harm,
To live without a fear.

Had I a million songs to sing,
I could not tell it all,
Of the future that awaits me,
When I answer God's last call.

Glorious Melody!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Joyce,

With such words as you have posted are we to encourage one another.....  yes, on earth we will sing our last song only to sing to Him for eternity in Heaven.

I don't have that great of a voice on Earth but I do have anticipations of joining that angelic choir in Heaven one day myself.

I agree with the person who said "and what a beautiful song it is"

This read so musically. Wonderful poem.
