In reverie, I take delight
And when I go to bed at night,
I spend some time reflecting on
The merits of the day just gone.
There's always something good or rare
That I can find secreted there.
A gem of speech, or song or deed,
That satisfied an inner need.
Some blessing God has sent my way
To show He touched my life today!

Yes dear Betty.  The blessings are there if we look for them.  Good poem.  Joyce

Too many times, we don't look inside at our own beauty....lovely poem...ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Trillium,

I do enjoy and dream of those times when the voice of my conscience is at peace and
resting on the lap of our God in reflection of the days events......  This truly is a delightful place to be.   Thank you for a touch of this your wonderful experience in God.  Bob <><

What a lovely practice...so much better than seeing the things one wishes one hadn't said or done upon which to attempt sleep.  I must remember this...after I've asked for forgiveness and peace over a rueful moment, to then recall the blessings received.

Bob:  Thank you.  It does seem to help me sleep better if I take a positive attitude about the days events.  Not that it's easy at times!

I believe we would have a happier world if each of us would take a moment before sleep and think of at least one grace granted during the day. Excellent.

I know you're right Julian and I do try to make a habit of this.
