What is a day unto the Lord?
Or even yet a year
and time, which means so much to us,
is trivial, I fear,
compared to all the universe
and everything that lies
beyond our understanding in
the vastness of the skies.
The Alpha of our known world,
in Genesis was born.
Omega lies somewhere ahead,
until we hear the horn
an angel sounds on judgement day,
to make us all aware,
God calls for a great reckoning
and what awaits us there.
But meanwhile, each must step the pace
alloted to the human race
and walk the way we know that He
would welcome and be glad to see!

Betty,
This is nice- a good and encouraging message from the heart- a wake-up call, yet with out great alarm, a poem that has lots of charm!
Thanks for sharing it with us,
       David

No Better Place do I know
Than where Hearts knit as
one,
For in that grand
experience,
The Better ALL become.

God Bless us All!!!

Each piece of your poetry flows so beautifully.  Yes, one day seems like nothing compared to eternity, yet each one, I marvel at all the wonders God packs into it.  Then I wonder why it takes me so long to become more Christlike.

sandgrain:  Thanks for your nice comments! I was listening to the birds at 5:00 a.m. this morning and thinking what a wonderful gift they are.  One of the wonders God fills the day with.
