My Lord was always here with me,
Though in my grief, I could not see.
His Easter message is so clear.
He's calling out, "I'm here, I'm here."

I've found him in the bird's sweet song,
And in the blossoms all along.
With sunny skies and clouds above,
He's showering us, with love, with love.

His message is for me and you,
For righteous one and sinner too.
With Easter ever drawing near,
It's answering time, "I hear, I hear."

Our Lord is with us all the time,
Through murky waters, worldly grime.
I hear my Saviors beating drum,
I answer, "Lord, I come, I come."

Joyce: This wonderful poem just makes me want to cry out "Hallelujah"! Love, Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Joyce this is a wonderful poem, and expression of your faith and submission to Him. I really enjoyed it's crisp presentation.

Dear Joyce;  Wonderful expression of your feelings for the Lord.  However, I am hoping you won't be answering the drum for a long time.

Another beauty!  Each spring brings refreshed faith in Him, and a longing to walk to the beat of His drum in daily life.  Your poetic talent is so admired.

I enjoyed the form of this. It definitely feels like a song to me. I, too, see Him in the world around me, and so especially liked the second stanza.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

Excellent usage of "hear" and "here" as homynyms.  Very original, I think this accentuated the piece incredibly.

Joyce,

Excellent use of double verbiage at the end of each stanza.... I think this style raally emphasizes the point well.  And your point is well taken, so that I will also be attentive to His call to listen and to go where He leads.
