The Uncloaked Virginia Salter In humbleness, full humility, He entered the city after having wept for its future, past and present. Though shod in sandals, on a donkey, robed as mere peasant, He was hailed as King, rejoicing, praising, carpeted with the cloaks of His believers The uncloaked ones crying out, “Crucify” forgetting reverence, adoration. Amnesiacs betraying their Loved One divorcing their unity turning faces away disavowing vows inhabiting full weakness more profoundly than ever before He, in His strength, held His tongue folded His hands and gave His all drinking the cup of death to life eternal for those, though uncloaked before him, believe and receive His love, His gift. ©April 2, 2000 |

Oh, this hit a personal spot with me... for that reason I'll have to applaud you on this poem. It's rare that I have such a profound impact made by one reading... ~Allan The sun was born, so it shall die. ~VNV Nation, "Further" |
