I wish that I'd seen Christ appear
and joined the multitudes to hear
the Blessings of His words and voice.
Although I never had that choice
and only read about those days
studying what the Bible says,
I realize His message stands
the same, both here and other lands.
But did the souls that wandered then
from Dan to Gath and back again,
absorb his words, along with heat
and dust raised by ten thousand feet?
And was His meaning then more clear
than anything today we hear?
So many questions crowd my mind
and it's impossible to find
the answers to so many things
and yet each lesson always brings
a feeling of great hope and peace.
His Glory lives, though all else cease!

Trillium,

I do love a good Bible story and they are so lifelike to me that I am there though not in body but in my mind...... His Glory definitely lives as all my physical surroundings
cease when I am absorbed within God's Word. Such an encouraging poem to get into God's Word. Bob <><

You bring up some questions that I've never thought about. I get so involved in reading the stories sometimes, time just flies by.

You've got some great questions though, to get the mind really thinking.
