The last few days I have gotten upset
I have been making a wrong turn on my way to work
not once
not twice
not three times
but FOUR...
yes four wrong turns in a week.
I have been driving this way for one long year
and have never YET made a wrong turn
but for some reason
I could not figure out why..
well until recently

let me tell you what happened

I was at a revival
yes indeed,
and the preacher stared directly at me
He said,
"Honey for ever wrong turn you made
Jesus was protecting you from an accident"

My eyes grew big and swelled with tears
this had never happened before
someone pointing me out
telling me something
he had no idea about.

I never rejoiced so much in the Lord
and thanked him for giving me that wrong turn
because that WAS the miracle

It's awesome when we realize what reason we did those things. Those moments when we get delayed, or get behind every slow person on the road, I often think of stories like this, and try to remind myself that it's probably for a reason I not yet know.

This is so uplifting! Thanks for sharing it, and joining the challenge!

You know I think exactly the same way, God works in mysterious ways to protect us. Beautiful expression of a true miracle.

This is amazing! I have had similar things happen to me and it always is so uplifting.
I believe in angels and think they are our daily protectors. Sent by God of course, but always there for us.

I love this! I have had similar experiences and how wonderfully loved they make me feel!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

It makes you realize that God is always there, always guiding you, always loving you, always there to comfort you...and that is what makes this poem so uplifting

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34

Wonderful poem! I wonder how many "wrong turns" I have taken in my lifetime that were really divine intervention?
Thanks, I enjoyed it!

Blondie,

Four in one week???? uh-hummmmmm....
that's a lot of crazy drivers.... now, I understand
why so many people work from home!!!

Anyway, how do they do that? know what your thinking...
I'm glad that it's usually something good. During revivals,
I'm always getting scared that I'll be pointed out and
my life presented before the congregation... humiliated
in some way. Gosh, I am glad God doesn't do things that way.
He always lifts us up and thank God he keeps us from accidents.

Some time ago we had a challenge about miracles we've seen. I wrote about being held up by switching freight trains while taking my Mom to the grayhound bus, only to see a 5 car pile-up a few miles ahead once we got through. All I could think is how thankful I was we'd been protected.
Thanks for sharing this piece.
