I already have a miracle
I don't acknowledge often
It's the miracle of everyday
The miracle of life

It's waking up in the morning
Taking that first deep breath
Before I rise to begin my day
To often I forget to say thanks

It's the miracle of sight
To see the flowers bloom
The awesome colors of nature
That explode into vibrant color

The miracle to see my children
To watch them play or see a smile
The miracle to talk to them
Or the miracle that allows me to hug

A miracle that allows me to hear
Or type these words out
To take the dog for a walk
The miracle of being me

Every breath, every day
everything I do, I see, I hear
Every movement I make
All a blessed miracle from God

One in which I take for granted
far too often forgetting to...
Thank God for His miracle of life

but I know Who holds the future.

So true! I see we are thinking of the same things to be thankful for. I just posted a poem along these lines. I enjoyed your poem!

Something we all need to remember Becky ~ Wonderful piece, and a great reminder of all the miracles that surround us everyday, in every way. Bonnie

Aw, Becky this is so wonderful, and didn't you meet the challenge so beautifully and isn't the miracle of life all we ever need?

Beautiful expression of God in our lives. Thanks!

Too often we do take this for granted. I work with a woman who had part of a lung removed after a bout of cancer from smoking. She walks up the stairs and it takes her 20 minutes to catch her breath....thank God, for breath...

Trillium we sure were thinking along the same lines. I read yours and I loved it! ~Thank you~

Bonnie thank you. We have so much around us that we take for granted.

Ellie, it should be all we need. But human as we are, we still search for more. ~hugs~

~Thank you~ Walker!

Sharon after my grandmother died of emphysema, I often think about how important our breath is. I think it's one of the worst things not to be able to breathe.

White Dove,

I liked the thought of everyday is a miracle...
and so true, like you, I take so much for granted.
It is commendable of you to thank God for what
appears to be so little as our very breath...
We surely do have much more to be thankful
than not.... Thank you for reminding me
to thank God for those simple things in life.

Thank you Debbie I'm just in that awed kind of mood today, thinking of all the wonderful miracles.

Bob I'm so glad it could be a reminder. So little breath may seem, when it's actually very big. Without it, we couldn't live.
The blood is our life, I guess we just can't have one without the other.
Thanks very much Bob! God bless ya!

You didn't mention the miracle of sibling rivalry. Gee, everyone's met this challenge already and I didn't even begin. So true, everything we have is a miracle.
Thank you for this lovely piece.
Love, Mom
