Hi all!!

I see that this wonderful forum has slowed way down. We're not as active in here anymore as we once were. What I would like from all of you is your ideas on how we might revive the forum again.

Maybe telling others about it?

Making a challenge?

Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated.
This forum has been such a blessing to so many, that it's sad to see it as it does. So c'mon, list your wonderful ideas here, and let's revive our spirits as well as others.

Here is my challenge to all here at Spiritual! Your poetic version of "Miracle"..
a poem of the miracle you most need to happen in your life today! go for it! Love, Ellie ( Becky, I posted this in the challenge forum too)

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Alright Becky!!! I like Ellie's suggestion, so let's start with that, and see if we can maybe get something new each week. Let's go fellow poets, let's rise to the challenge and bring Spiritual alive again..... Can't wait to read all of them. Bonnie

Tough, but good Ellie! Thanks!

Sounds like a great challenge!!

Bonnie, that's a good idea. Let's see if we can make it happen.

Just a thought or two...

Firstly, this forum has been a real blessing to me. I rejoice to find a place where the praises of Jesus Christ are given with such liberty. May all of our words which flow from lives that give praise to him find a place here.

I have noticed that we (collectively) tend to write mostly psalms of praise and thanksgiving which exalt him and make our hearts feel good. This is the "pure spiritual milk" I think that we crave to recieve and give to others. It is wonderful and should never stop. But I want to encourage anyone who feels that the Lord is giving them things to share as "meat" for the maturing, to do so. These are the kinds of things that don't always make us feel fuzzy or happy inside. Sometimes they prick our hearts and disturb us a little.

These are necessary also to insure a "balanced diet". Just look at the scriptures and see how along side the glorious praises there is much to stir us by way of instruction, rebuke, and passionate appeal. Everyone tends to want to read the Psalms instead of the letter to the "Hebrews", or the "Revelation".

If the Lord has given this (in any degree) to anyone. Don't be afraid. Share with us as the Holy Spirit leads you. Anything of this nature may also create some dialogue as to the interpretation of Spiritual poetry as well. This I think may be one element which might be lacking a little. It could create some motion here to attract others to this forum. (I'm not talking about controversy, but godly considerations to be discussed).

I'm not saying this element has been absent here. Many of you have shared like things. I just want to see it stirred up a little. Maranatha!

Stephen.

Stephanos it's a good idea, and I welcome it.

People believe differently, and things like this do create controversy because of those different beliefs.

I am ok with this, as I hope everyone else is as well. People are entitled to their beliefs, and I hope all remember that, even if that belief is not the same as your own.

The 'meat' of the word beyond salvation is a good thing not many get into. You're right, there are many things within the Bible as far as reprimand, warnings, and conditions such the little word if that many over look.

This place is a blessing, and I don't know what I would have done without it. The encouragement, prayers and friendship that I've found here have really warmed my heart.

May God bless us in our poetry, our messages, and reaching out and touching others that might need it. May He bring others to this place as He has brought us.

I confess. I'm guilty. Haven't been around much lately, but do have the highest regard for this site. I'm a slow writer so may take me a few days, but I'll try to meet the challenge.
I do thank God for each person here and all they bring to share.

I'm new today, so I don't know how active you were but I think this site is wonderful and should not slow down. Yes, I am sure that variety is what is needed to keep it going. Joyce
