Don't call me smart
or perfect
because I'm not
I don't know all
and I make mistakes
Don't label me with names
that you think describe me
Compliments aren't even my own
Don't say you know me well
unless you know the heart of my Father
I don't take credit
for things that aren't my own
So, please
don't label me
except with one name
Child of God

**I don't mean to sound bitter in this poem, just some people at school think that I am perfect- and I want to tell them the truth! I know that this isn't great (definitly not my best!), but I hope you enjoy it anyway!**

You are being perfectly honest about your humanity and that is about as close to perfection as we can get here on earth. Whatever we are we hope to reflect the love of the father for us to those who feel unloved. Your friends probally see things in you that they wish they could be, and as the song goes you can tell them, "I have my Father's eyes." A good read, hope to see more of your poems.

This is the brutal truth for those like you and I... It's funny, the brutal part doesn't come in admitting it to yourself, it's the people who really don't know you believing that you are, and when they expect exactly that. I don't know that that is how it is for you, but that's how it is for me. I'd like to get to know you, if you wouldn't mind. For now anyway, I wish you the best of luck, and inspiration for you in your poetry.

Reflecting God's love is not always easy, and it does make people wander. Very beautiful.

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

Love All,

In truth without all the additives and presevatives
(including the sugar coating), we would all be a
bunch of flakes. Only God gives us substance!

Labels are man made..... God created us equal.

Nicely said and God Bless.... Bob <><

Stacey this is fantastic! I'm sure many can relate to this. Especially when you're Christian, people 'label' you with things like that.

It takes a sinner to have a God as forgiving as we have.

I hope you'll take my advice and submit this one the main site. It gets viewed by millions, and I'm sure will touch many more.
