Today I neglected my mirror
I went out into the world
With egg on my face
The egg didn't bother me
I didn't know it was there
But I wondered why I was getting those stares

Who needs a mirror
For what can they do
But show me what I look like
From your point of view

Maybe I think wearing egg is pretty
But I sort of doubt if I do
For if I really thought it was
In style
I would smear it all over
And wear it with a smile

Who needs a mirror to point
Out my flaws
I'm perfect as I am
I'm blinded to the facts
What I don't see
Can not bother me

If I looked into a mirror
I might have to change my ways
I might have to wash my face
I might have to brush my teeth
I might have to comb my hair
I might have to pull up my slip
I might have do something different today

Lord help me dust off my mirror
Let me see myself as you see me
So others can see you through me
So I may be acceptable in your sight.
This is my prayer

This is wonderful! That's all I ever want too, just to be a reflection of His Love!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

I really like this...we need to care about what God thinks, not what others think! I like this- a little comedy added with the egg. It is really good!!

This is the way we should be, just be like Jesus and not the world. Lovely said!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

Song Bird,

Comical and terrifying all at the same time.....
I for one need to spend more time in front of that
dreaded mirror, not for vanity's sake but to look
at myself as God would and I do hope that I can
see the egg for what it is and not cosmetic.

God Bless you always
