"Delight thyself in the Lord
and He will give you
the desires of your heart"

As I ponder His promise here,
wonderful as it surely is,
I think of all the desires,
that overflow my heart.

I have surrendered my all
to His loving arms and Grace,
so the desires of my heart,
He must place there, one by one.

So if I were to simplify
this glorious promise here,
the "Perfect Prayer" emerges,
"Thy Will be done, not mine".

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

May the Lord bless you with the desires of His heart! He blesses us with more than we would ever think of. Have a great week my friend! Enjoyed your poem as always.

God blesses us with his love. Is only when that need of wanting ceases, that we find the happiness and peace that he gives. After all that is what love is about, giving, not receiving. Very lovely said in your poem!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

Amen again and again...A perfect little prayer indeed Ellie... Seems to me that I need only remember ~ "Thy will be done, not mine" ~ and life will be a whole lot easier. Thanks, Bonnie
