Through pain and sorrow
I will count my blessings still
thus pain and sorrow
shall He turn into my gifts
all things turn to good from God!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Ellie He does just that. All good things come from above! Sometimes we don't see that good til we're out of our pain and sorrow.

Hang in there m'lady. Enjoyed this one!

Only a heart that know where to find the "gifts" ~ a tender heart such as yours, could have written this Ellie... Bonnie

I believe that everything in this world has one goal, Salvation. Thanks for the reminder.

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

I love the thought of when Satan thinks he has the upper hand and God uses the tragedy, pain, or sorrow for good.

Great poem, the only thing I would change is one word, instead of 'from' God on that last line, I'd say 'with' God. Just my slant on it.

Ellie,

We know that all things work together for good to them that Love God...
and your Love for God as evidenced by what I have whitnessed in your precious poetry leaves no doubts in my mind. You have reflected the verse of scripture that has and will continue to encourage and strengthen many Christians through the ages and ages to come for God's Word is everlasting, will not change, and will most surely not return void.

God Bless You, Bob <><

your sorrow is my sorrow. for is that not the act of a friend?

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

I do like this! It reminds me of a song we sing at church; In Everything Give Thanks. All things work for the good to them that love the Lord!
Hugs,
Deb
