Blessings by the Sea
Co-Written by Ellie Lejeune & Dennis White

The sea in summer feeds my soul
And washes away the winters toll,
Warm the sun upon my heart,
New inspiration each wave impart.

Thus rolling gently to the shore,
Ceaseless motion brings forth more,
Peace transcends through sounds of waves,
Calming, soothing my stressful days.

Sea winds caress this furrowed brow,
The salty breeze doth whisper now,
"Be still and know that I Am God,
I know the path, thy journeys trod."

"My Love is here by the sea,
Sufficient for your every need,
As salty breeze caress' thy face,
With tender care I show my grace."

"Sit with Me by the beach,
In silence will My nature teach,
We are one this summers day,
My blessings will not ebb away."

Blue of sky and bird on wing,
Sweet the song to me doth sing,
For here this day by the sea,
I sit quiet for I know it's He.

In gratitude I hold you near,
Your peace I know, without fear,
And so my soul is now at rest,
For by his Love, I'm truly blest.

Very nice indeed. One cannot look at the ocean and not feel a oneness with God and the universe. Very peaceful poem.

Dennis and Ellie,

Oh, the calming and romantically alluring affect of the sea.  You have joined together to express and endue the mood so very well...... I could also hear the voice of God speaking through the crashing waves, salty mist, and swirlling wind to the depth of my heart as I was reading your poem.  Inspirational.....  Bob <><

Just maybe you are checking this, If so, just a little word to say that my prayers are with you, my friend!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

very christian and almost devotional.
I was first attracted to the part about the Sea. I have a bit of John Masefield in my soul: I must go down to the sea again, (the lonely sea and sky) --- and "all I ask is a good ship, and, a star to steer her by." Ahhhh.....
