Fair Maiden of the meadow,
loveliness is yours.
Hair as golden sunbeams,
shining as the dew.

Eyes of greenest
summers leaves,
and deep as pools
of raindrops.

Winsome and fey,
as a young faun in spring.
A heart that tis made
for loving and giving,
arms to comfort thus.

Why then so sad
sweet maiden fair?
Why teardrops fall
from your limpid pools
of eyes so green?

Tis Love you long for,
dearest one,
a Love that's true
and ever yours.

Despair not my gentle
lovely one,
for God adores your
heart so sweet.
Know this truth,
dear maiden fair,
and joy is yours
forever more!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Ellie,
This is a sweet and consoling piece, set in the context of a theme you have become renown for at Passions. I feel however that you had more in mind that a poor discourage fairy maid- is this not the kind of Love which God show us all, and by which He wants to uplift all us weary & forlorn humans?
This one has a nice touch to it,

Wise counsel for All young maidens, even if only in heart.....  and that is, as you have written, the most important part.  I enjoyed the fairy like character of your words.   Lovely.   Bob <><

Very tender hearted poetry you write. It shows the sweet and tender love God gives to the broken hearted and weary.

Ellie,
Sweet, eloquent words of wisdom framed here in a delicate lacy frame. Beautiful!
