I reached for a star
but found inside my own heart
Thy bright shining light
Lord You are the bright North Star
that shines on my path the way

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

There could never be any star brighter.  This was a lovely Tanka and once again I commend you on your excellence at penning so much in so few lines.  You seem to have mastered these wonderfully.  I will be looking for more from you.

I agree that you do have a lovely spirit that shines from deep within your heart that not only leads yourself but others along the way.   God Bless You,   Bob <><

Ellie,
You use the tools and forms of poetry for praise so aptly! Clearly your heart knows of what you speak! You bless us with your words of Praise!
